Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art 2, which included the work Sans Titre by Jess. It changed hands for a price of EUR 4,800.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 4,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jess achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Embarkation For Kythera in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 132,000.00 (€ 99,540.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art 2 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre von Jess zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 4.800,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jess erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Embarkation For Kythera im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 132.000,00 (€ 99.540,00).
