Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Meditation by Jerry Farnsworth for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,663.16). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Jerry Farnsworth have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2005 by the work Helen at USD 6,600.00 (€ 5,089.06).
