Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Hide and seek by Jerry Barrett. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,646.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jerry Barrett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Mission of Mercy: Florence Nightingale receiving the Wounded at Scutari in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 82,850.00 (€ 103,227.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hide and seek von Jerry Barrett zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.646,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jerry Barrett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Mission of Mercy: Florence Nightingale receiving the Wounded at Scutari im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 82.850,00 (€ 103.227,45).
