Auction result well in line with expectations

In December 2002 Christies in London held the auction Important Gold Boxes, Objects of Vertu and Portrait, which included the work A young lady, facing right in black dress with wide lace-bordered fichu collar, black belt with rectangular pearl set buckle, multicoloured floral embroidered red cashmere shawl draped over her shoulders, drop pearl earrings, pearls and comb in her u by Jeremiah David Alexander Fiorino. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 537.75 (€ 825.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jeremiah David Alexander Fiorino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work [Princess Maria Amalia of Saxony, facing left in lavender-coloured dress with high standing lace collar, double pearl necklace, pearl set tiara with large white ostrich plumes

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 537,75 (€ 825,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
