Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Constellation Iii by Jeong Yun-Kyung was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,829.75). Other works by Jeong Yun-Kyung have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2016 by the work Volume Ii at HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,562.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Constellation Iii von Jeong Yun-Kyung im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.829,75) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Jeong Yun-Kyung wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2016 die Arbeit Volume Ii mit HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.562,34).
