Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work You woman feeding birds in the snow by Jenny Nyström was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 200,000.00 – 250,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 175,000.00 (€ 15,687.51). Admittedly, works by Jenny Nyström have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Konvalescenten" (The Convalescent) in June 2015 with an auction result of SEK 800,000.00 (€ 86,426.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit You woman feeding birds in the snow von Jenny Nyström im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 200.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 175.000,00 (€ 15.687,51) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jenny Nyström auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Konvalescenten" (The Convalescent) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 800.000,00 (€ 86.426,39).
