Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work French sermon Sur L'Abstinence by Jehan-Georges Vibert was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 18,426.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jehan-Georges Vibert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Gulliver And The Lilliputians in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 961,587.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit French sermon Sur L'Abstinence von Jehan-Georges Vibert kam im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 18.426,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jehan-Georges Vibert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Gulliver And The Lilliputians im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.497.000,00 (€ 961.587,87).
