Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jeffrey Becom could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Selected images changed hands for USD 59.75 (€ 36.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeffrey Becom achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Door with Speckled Hen, Chicua, Guatemala, 1992 in February 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,175.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeffrey Becom konnte im September 2003 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Selected images für USD 59,75 (€ 36,21) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeffrey Becom erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Door with Speckled Hen, Chicua, Guatemala, 1992 im Februar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.560,00 (€ 1.175,23).
