Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Processional Carpet, Guatemala; and Straw Wall, Morocco by Jeffrey Becom for USD 59.75 (€ 36.21). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeffrey Becom achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Door with Speckled Hen, Chicua, Guatemala, 1992 in February 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,175.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Processional Carpet, Guatemala; and Straw Wall, Morocco von Jeffrey Becom für USD 59,75 (€ 36,21) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 700,00 – 900,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeffrey Becom erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Door with Speckled Hen, Chicua, Guatemala, 1992 im Februar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.560,00 (€ 1.175,23).
