Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vase of Flowers by Jeff Koons was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,692,500.00 (€ 1,422,507.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Koons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rabbit in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 91,075,000.00 (€ 81,688,940.71).
