Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong, which included the work Balloon Dog (Yellow) by Jeff Koons. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 8,095.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Koons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rabbit in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 91,075,000.00 (€ 81,688,940.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Balloon Dog (Yellow) von Jeff Koons zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 8.095,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Koons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rabbit im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.075.000,00 (€ 81.688.940,71).
