This artwork by Jeanne Selmersheim-Desgrange achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2012. In the Impressionist/Modern auction, the work La table blanche, vue sur le lac sold for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,701.47) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jeanne Selmersheim-Desgrange have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bord de mer in November last year with an auction result of USD 40,320.00 (€ 39,058.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeanne Selmersheim-Desgrange erzielte im Februar 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist/Modern wurde die Arbeit La table blanche, vue sur le lac für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.701,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jeanne Selmersheim-Desgrange auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bord de mer im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 39.058,41).
