Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Jean-Yves Commère was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 949.27). Admittedly, works by Jean-Yves Commère have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nature Morte Aux Fleurs in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 5,313.00 (€ 3,908.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jean-Yves Commère im April 2013 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.250,00 (€ 949,27) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Yves Commère auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nature Morte Aux Fleurs im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.313,00 (€ 3.908,34).
