Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Le bouquet de fleurs (The bouquet of flowers) by Jean Volang for SGD 3,760.00 (€ 2,338.48). This price was achieved in the auction IMPORTANT SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES at Christies in Singapore and was even below the estimate range of SGD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Volang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le modèle in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 57,088.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Le bouquet de fleurs (The bouquet of flowers) von Jean Volang für SGD 3.760,00 (€ 2.338,48) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion IMPORTANT SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES bei Christies in Singapur erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SGD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Volang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le modèle im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 57.088,53).
