Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, which included the work THE DENIAL OF SAINT PETER by Jean Tassel. The price achieved of EUR 7,560.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Tassel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint, which sold at auction in June 2014 for EUR 16,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit THE DENIAL OF SAINT PETER von Jean Tassel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.560,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Tassel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saint beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert wurde.
