Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art, which included the work Dès le matin (early in the morning) by Jean Rustin. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,875.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Rustin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dans la grande salle in January 2006 with an auction result of EUR 30,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dès le matin (early in the morning) von Jean Rustin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 6.875,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Rustin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dans la grande salle im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 30.000,00.
