Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Phillips in New York held the auction Design & Design Art, which included the work Three "Hirondelle" wall lights by Jean Royère. The price achieved of USD 24,000.00 (€ 18,185.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Royère achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'OURS POLAIRE' SOFA, CIRCA 1952 in November this year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 866,336.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Design & Design Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three "Hirondelle" wall lights von Jean Royère zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 24.000,00 (€ 18.185,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Royère erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'OURS POLAIRE' SOFA, CIRCA 1952 im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 866.336,63).
