In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT GOLD BOXES,OBJECTS OF VERTU & PORTRAIT MINIATURES, which included the work A young lady, in low-cut white muslin dress with white silk border and short puff-sleeves, black girdle, a red shawl bordered with brown fur draped aroud her arms, curly brown hair; cloud and sky background by Jean-Pierre Menuisier. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 776.75 (€ 1,165.41), 29% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Pierre Menuisier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Man, which sold at auction in January 2014 for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,629.63).

Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion IMPORTANT GOLD BOXES,OBJECTS OF VERTU & PORTRAIT MINIATURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young lady, in low-cut white muslin dress with white silk border and short puff-sleeves, black girdle, a red shawl bordered with brown fur draped aroud her arms, curly brown hair; cloud and sky background von Jean-Pierre Menuisier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 776,75 (€ 1.165,41) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Pierre Menuisier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man beobachtet, die im Januar 2014 für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.629,63) versteigert wurde.
