Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme de dos by Jean-Pierre Cassigneul was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 52,920.00 (€ 51,872.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Pierre Cassigneul achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dans La Roseraie in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 893,000.00 (€ 656,328.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Femme de dos von Jean-Pierre Cassigneul kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 51.872,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Pierre Cassigneul erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dans La Roseraie im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 893.000,00 (€ 656.328,09).
