Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Catharsis Grise - 1960 by Jean Piaubert was auctioned at Artcurial in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Piaubert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Genese I, Le Temps Du Soir, 1987, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 4,541.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Catharsis Grise - 1960 von Jean Piaubert kam im Oktober 2016 bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Piaubert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Genese I, Le Temps Du Soir, 1987 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 4.541,00 versteigert wurde.
