Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jean-Philippe Dallaire was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CAD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of CAD 10,200.00 (€ 7,894.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean-Philippe Dallaire have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Infernal Machine in November 2011 with an auction result of CAD 45,000.00 (€ 32,794.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jean-Philippe Dallaire kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in Toronto zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CAD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CAD 10.200,00 (€ 7.894,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Philippe Dallaire auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Infernal Machine im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 45.000,00 (€ 32.794,17).
