Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jean-Philippe Dallaire was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CAD 9,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of CAD 9,600.00 (€ 6,892.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean-Philippe Dallaire have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Infernal Machine in November 2011 with an auction result of CAD 45,000.00 (€ 32,794.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jean-Philippe Dallaire wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CAD 9.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CAD 9.600,00 (€ 6.892,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Philippe Dallaire auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Infernal Machine im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 45.000,00 (€ 32.794,17).
