Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Kuwait, 1955 by Jean-Philippe Charbonnier was worth GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,514.92) to a buyer in May 2010. This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 600.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jean-Philippe Charbonnier; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bettina, la plus belle, Paris. Vitrine de Van Cleef et Arpels, Place Vendôme sold at auction in June 2019 with the realized price of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,645.61).

Die Arbeit Kuwait, 1955 von Jean-Philippe Charbonnier war einem Käufer im Mai 2010 GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.514,92) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 um ein Vielfaches.
