Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jean-Michel Basquiat was auctioned at Christies in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 1,197,000.00 (€ 1,097,359.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Michel Basquiat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 110,487,500.00 (€ 98,333,481.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jean-Michel Basquiat kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.197.000,00 (€ 1.097.359,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Michel Basquiat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.487.500,00 (€ 98.333.481,67).
