Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self Portrait, The Artist at Work by Jean Mannheim was auctioned at Christies in Los Angeles in May 2001. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,935.00 (€ 5,836.78) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Mannheim - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dairy Farm in the Arroyo Seco, which sold at auction in November 2002 for USD 11,950.00 (€ 12,031.82).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.935,00 (€ 5.836,78) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Mannheim mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dairy Farm in the Arroyo Seco beobachtet, die im November 2002 für USD 11.950,00 (€ 12.031,82) versteigert wurde.
