Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Light of the Morning (Arch Beach) by Jean Mannheim. The price achieved of USD 4,480.00 (€ 4,133.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Mannheim - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dairy Farm in the Arroyo Seco, which sold at auction in November 2002 for USD 11,950.00 (€ 12,031.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Light of the Morning (Arch Beach) von Jean Mannheim zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.480,00 (€ 4.133,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Mannheim mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dairy Farm in the Arroyo Seco beobachtet, die im November 2002 für USD 11.950,00 (€ 12.031,82) versteigert wurde.
