Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of John Cayley (1730-1795), bust-length by Jean-Louis Voille was sold in the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in April 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 52,500.00 (€ 48,187.24). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Louis Voille - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Portrait Of Count Paul Alexandrovich Stroganoff, Aged 15, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 121,250.00 (€ 151,072.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of John Cayley (1730-1795), bust-length von Jean-Louis Voille wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 52.500,00 (€ 48.187,24) einen neuen Besitzer.
