Sold at the upper estimate price
In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work At the opera by Marcel Cosson. The auction ended at the price of EUR 1,500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Cosson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A La Brasserie in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 15,850.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit At the opera von Marcel Cosson zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Cosson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A La Brasserie im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.850,00.
