Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ernest Meissonier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2017. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work Study Of A Horse And Rider sold for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,265.01) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Meissonier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French les Deux Amis in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 442,000.00 (€ 418,481.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ernest Meissonier erzielte im Juli 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Study Of A Horse And Rider für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.265,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernest Meissonier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French les Deux Amis im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 442.000,00 (€ 418.481,35).
