Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Le Trompette De 1807 by Ernest Meissonier. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,974.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Meissonier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French les Deux Amis in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 442,000.00 (€ 418,481.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Trompette De 1807 von Ernest Meissonier zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.974,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernest Meissonier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French les Deux Amis im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 442.000,00 (€ 418.481,35).
