In December 2007 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Composition, 1972 by Jean Le Moal. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,726.00 36% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Le Moal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Port in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 69,850.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2007 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition, 1972 von Jean Le Moal zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.726,00 und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Le Moal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Port im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 69.850,00.
