The work Portrait Of Collin D'Harleville (1755-1806), The Playwright by Jean-Jacques Karpff was sold in the Old Master Day Sale including Old Master Paintings, Drawings and British Works on Paper auction at Sothebys in London in July 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,903.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Jacques Karpff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Group Portrait Of The Countess Of Montmarie, With Her Mother And Daughter, Circa 1805 in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 52,982.63).
