In February this year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Etude de branche by Jean-François Gigoux. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 197.00 31% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-François Gigoux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jeune Femme Et Son Chien Sur Une Terrasse, which sold at auction in February 2015 for EUR 632.00.

Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Etude de branche von Jean-François Gigoux zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 197,00 und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-François Gigoux mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jeune Femme Et Son Chien Sur Une Terrasse beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für EUR 632,00 versteigert wurde.
