Upper estimate price exceeded by 42 %.
In November 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work French convicting Proofs by Jehan-Georges Vibert. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,250.00 (€ 20,088.86), 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jehan-Georges Vibert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Gulliver And The Lilliputians in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 961,587.87).
