Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A vase of peonies, foxgloves, tulips and other flowers in an extensive landscape by Jean Georges Hirn was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL DRAWINGS AND WATERCOLOURS AND ILLUST auction at Christies in London in December 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 763.75 (€ 1,247.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Georges Hirn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Camelias, narcissi, morning glory, a rose and other flowers in a gold urn on a wooden ledge in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 36,821.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A vase of peonies, foxgloves, tulips and other flowers in an extensive landscape von Jean Georges Hirn wurde im Dezember 2001 in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL DRAWINGS AND WATERCOLOURS AND ILLUST bei Christies in London versteigert.
