Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Artcurial held the auction Orientalism, which included the work Les Toits De La Kasbah by Jean Gaston Mantel. The price achieved of EUR 3,510.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Gaston Mantel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fantasia, 1968 in December 2009 with an auction result of EUR 60,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Artcurial die Auktion Orientalism durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Toits De La Kasbah von Jean Gaston Mantel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.510,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Gaston Mantel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fantasia, 1968 im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.450,00.
