Auction result well in line with expectations
The work À La Terrasse Du Riad by Jean Gaston Mantel was auctioned at Artcurial in November 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Gaston Mantel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fantasia, 1968 in December 2009 with an auction result of EUR 60,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit À La Terrasse Du Riad von Jean Gaston Mantel kam im November 2014 bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Gaston Mantel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fantasia, 1968 im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.450,00.
