Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Winter Sports In Zermatt by Jean Gaberell-Thalwil for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,086.26). This price was achieved in the auction The Ski Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Jean Gaberell-Thalwil have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2015 by the work Wintersport In Zermatt at GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,658.19).
