Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two Women Working Hay by Jean-François Millet was auctioned at Christies in London in October last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 56,700.00 (€ 66,054.87). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-François Millet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Horizon (La plaine) in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,985,000.00 (€ 1,584,197.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two Women Working Hay von Jean-François Millet kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 56.700,00 (€ 66.054,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-François Millet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'Horizon (La plaine) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.985.000,00 (€ 1.584.197,92).
