Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters, which included the work Paris and Oenone by Jean-François de Troy. The price achieved of USD 475,000.00 (€ 407,830.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean-François de Troy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Reading Party in December last year with an auction result of GBP 2,922,000.00 (€ 3,298,653.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paris and Oenone von Jean-François de Troy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 475.000,00 (€ 407.830,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-François de Troy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Reading Party im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.922.000,00 (€ 3.298.653,39).
