Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work French A Stroll On The Park by Jean Eugène Buland was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,505.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Eugène Buland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Rétameur in March 2015 with an auction result of EUR 67,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit French A Stroll On The Park von Jean Eugène Buland im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.505,26) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Eugène Buland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Rétameur im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 67.500,00.
