Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2006 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art 2, which included the work Sans Titre by Jean Chauvin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,963.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jean Chauvin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2005 the work Composition surréaliste (Femme nue) was auctioned for EUR 11,760.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2006 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art 2 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre von Jean Chauvin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.963,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Jean Chauvin konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2005 die Arbeit Composition surréaliste (Femme nue) für EUR 11.760,00 versteigert.
