Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Cinzano by Jean Carlu for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,619.62). This price was achieved in the auction Vintage Posters at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Carlu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aquarium De Monaco, Museé Océanographique, which sold at auction in May 2013 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,691.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cinzano von Jean Carlu für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.619,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Vintage Posters bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Carlu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aquarium De Monaco, Museé Océanographique beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.691,56) versteigert wurde.
