Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 47,880.00 (€ 41,447.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean-Baptiste-Marie Pierre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paysage Avec Personnages Jouant De La Musique Et Dansant in June 2016 with an auction result of EUR 363,000.00.

Die Arbeit Roman Charity von Jean-Baptiste-Marie Pierre kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 47.880,00 (€ 41.447,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste-Marie Pierre auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paysage Avec Personnages Jouant De La Musique Et Dansant im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 363.000,00.
