Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 81,250.00 (€ 71,966.34). Admittedly, works by Jean-Baptiste-Marie Pierre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paysage Avec Personnages Jouant De La Musique Et Dansant in June 2016 with an auction result of EUR 363,000.00.

Die Arbeit Bacchus And Ariadne von Jean-Baptiste-Marie Pierre wurde im Januar 2015 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings Part I bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 81.250,00 (€ 71.966,34) einen neuen Besitzer.
