Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Huyen by Jean-Baptiste Huynh was auctioned at Phillips in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,647.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Baptiste Huynh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mali - Portrait Xxiv, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 38,900.00 (€ 50,879.67).

Die Arbeit Huyen von Jean-Baptiste Huynh kam im November 2008 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.647,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Huynh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mali - Portrait Xxiv beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für GBP 38.900,00 (€ 50.879,67) versteigert wurde.
