Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Collection of Ambassador and Mrs. Felix Rohatyn, which included the work Shepherdess With Goats by Jean-Baptiste Huet. The price achieved of USD 11,340.00 (€ 9,736.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Huet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Une Caravanne in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 590,500.00 (€ 452,386.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Collection of Ambassador and Mrs. Felix Rohatyn durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shepherdess With Goats von Jean-Baptiste Huet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.340,00 (€ 9.736,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Huet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Une Caravanne im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 590.500,00 (€ 452.386,42).
