Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean-Baptiste Huet could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Town & Country: A Private Collection auction, the work An upland landscape with a shepherd with his flock near a farm; A river landscape with a herdsman fishing changed hands for GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,508.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Huet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Une Caravanne in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 590,500.00 (€ 452,386.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean-Baptiste Huet konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Town & Country: A Private Collection wechselte die Arbeit An upland landscape with a shepherd with his flock near a farm; A river landscape with a herdsman fishing für GBP 3.780,00 (€ 4.508,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Huet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Une Caravanne im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 590.500,00 (€ 452.386,42).
