Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean Baptiste Antoine Emile Béranger could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Lost in thought changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,171.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Baptiste Antoine Emile Béranger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lost in thoughts in April 2002 with an auction result of EUR 9,560.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Baptiste Antoine Emile Béranger konnte im September 2016 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit Lost in thought für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.171,48) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Baptiste Antoine Emile Béranger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lost in thoughts im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.560,00.
