Auction result well in line with expectations

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Baptiste-Adolphe Gibert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Salt Marshes, Ostia, which sold at auction in April 2005 for USD 24,000.00 (€ 18,577.29).
